Notes
A booklet published by the Board of Trustees of the Episcopal Church of Delaware recognizing A. Felix duPont's contributions to the Episcopal Church and St. Andrew's School as the school's deeply committed founder. The booklet was donated by a grandchild of Octavia M. duPont (Bredin).
The accompanying note was included with the donation:
"The lovely and fancy pamphlet memorializing Alexis du Pont's role as St Andrew's benefactor came from my grandmother's house at her death. She was Octavia M. du Pont, later Bredin. Her mother was Irene du Pont, sister to Alexis and also a major supporter of the school. I can only speculate how my grandmother came to have it. The school may have given it to her when her uncle died (she was a great fan of the school) or she may have gotten it when her parents died as it was the sort of thing she liked to save and she had plenty of stuff from Granogue (her parent's home)."
