The cover photo shows a race of the girls cross-country team, one of the fall teams with season recaps in this issue. A four-page photo spread shows students and their families participating in and enjoying the athletic and artistic events of Parents Weekend. Environmentalist David Orr comes to campus for a lecture, as does Delaware Governor Jack Markell. A show by Laura Von Rosk opens the season in the Warner Art Gallery, while the Trio St. Bernard gives a master class to St. Andrew's musicians. Members of the senior class recommend favorite books. The issue includes interviews with Bishop Wayne Wright, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Delaware, on the occasion of his upcoming retirement, and with communications professional Jess Torres ’08. Recently-appointed trustees Kellie Doucette ’88 P ’18, ’18, Ari Ellis ’89, Michael Evans ’98, Heather (Williams) Mitchell ’92 and Michael Warner ’00 participate in a discussion about their commitment to the School and how they see their roles. Ann Taylor ’86 P ’18 gives the Convocation Address, with participation from student actors. Former faculty member Louie Crew Clay shares his thoughts on the School today. In Memory commemorates Henry Parker ’44, Luther Campbell ’46, William Murray ’50 P ’90, Theodore Hill ’52, Richard Bauer ’62 P ’98, ’00, ’04 and John Crowley ’13.
