The issue opens with a collection of "St. Andrew's Moments" from the fall. Community members win accolades: Dr. Harvey Johnson ’97 publishes research; Jennifer Kern ’83 receives the Distinguished Alumni Award; Abu Kamara ’16 wins a chess tournament; and St. Andrew's is named a U.S. Green Ribbon School. The School welcomes new faculty Kellyann Conners, Katherine Crowley, Dr. Sara O'Conner ’89, Jaivon Wesley ’09 and Piper Nash and welcomes back returning teachers Jen McGowan and Matt Carroll. Visitors and events fill the fall campus calendar. The Crossroads Campaign supports faculty professional development and summer travel. A feature article explores the work of photography teacher Joshua Meier. Bridget Dufour ’14 shares her project, Humans of SAS. John McGiff gives the Convocation Address and Al Wood reflects on "Unanswered Prayers." Pemberton Heath ’08 gives a Chapel Talk on "The Price of Success." The issue also celebrates the Commencement of the Class of 2013, the 2013 Alumni Dinner, and the 2013 Reunion Weekend, with photo spreads of all three events. Obituaries of three community members are included: faculty member John Higgins, staff member Carol Simendinger, and faculty wife and SAS parent Catherine Amos. The issue also commemorates Arthur Dodge ’41, Ralph Munyan ’42, George Wood ’42, Bruce Graham ’43, Thomas Waters ’48, William Johnson ’52, Robert Foster ’54, J.
