This issue of the St. Andrew's Magazine includes many features as it is a double issue. The front cover features newly graduated Esi Hutchful '08 with alum and current English teacher, Gretchen Bensinger Hurtt '90. Remarks From the Headmaster, Tad Roach, is titled Agents of Change, from a chapel talk given over Arts Weekend. The alum Q&A features Andy Florance '82, alumni board member who is the CEO of CoStar Group, Inc. Chair of the English Department, Elizabeth Roach, shares her chapel talk from February 2008, The Resilience of Strong Women. Greg Doyle '87 interviews Michael Whalen '84 about his music career and his perspective on the music industry. Included in this issue are updates on both winter and spring sports from their respective coaches along with several photos. Assistant Director of Communications and English teacher Jean Garnett writes an article, From Honduras to Hillier, the story of a new student from Honduras, Kervin Zamora '11. History teacher, Assistant Director of Admissions and alum, Tony Alleyne '01 talks about his time in the classroom at SAS and his experience with Teach for America. During spring break, many St. Andreans took a service trip to New Orleans to help with the cleanup of Katrina and much of it is documented here in this magazine. Strategic Plan in Action, an article from the Headmaster, in which he describes the need for a new athletics facility. The commencement portion of the magazine includes remarks from the Headmaster, class presidents Pem Heath '08 and Justin Weidner '08, and commencement speaker, Darra Goldstein P'08, Professor of Russian at Williams College along with many photos and a list of award winners from Awards Night. Several photos from reunion weekend as well as a summary can be found in this issue. Bob Evans '49 submitted an article, Confessions of a Former Student. Many pages of class notes can be found as well as an In Memory section paying tribute to those Saint Andreans that have recently passed.
