Partnership is a focus of this issue, with profiles of St. Andrew's history with two sister organizations: St. Mark's School in Jane Furse, South Africa and Prep 9 in New York City. St. Andreans Nan Mein, Nick Connell ’00, Alec McCandless ’89, Nici Fleischer ’07, Pippin Anderson ’91 and Laura Shaffer-Hand ’91 describe their experiences at St. Mark's and Ginna Purrington ’94 writes a short story set in a small school in South Africa. Prep 9 alumnus Shabazz Stuart ’07 shares photographs of his New York City neighborhood. Monica Matouk's ’84 Chapel talk reflects on her sabbatical in Egypt while photography teacher Jennifer O'Neill and senior co-president Asa Rose Shenandoah answer questions. In the Classroom takes us into the art major experience, and we learn about the development of the organic garden. Information on the student vestry, fall sports seasons, a production of Midsummer Night's Dream, and other campus events round out the issue. In Memory includes Robert Orr ’34, David Witheford ’45, Charles Abson ’47 and John Pistell ’67.
