This issue continues the 75th Anniversary celebrations for St. Andrew's. The O'Brien Arts Center opens and Jon and Joan O'Brien are honored in remarks by Tad and Elizabeth Roach. The Warner Art Gallery and Englehard Hall also open and Tad Roach thanks their donors. In an article called "Building on the Vision," Joy McGrath ’92 tells the story of Founders Hall with archival photographs. A spread of photographs and donor recognition marks the 1920s themed 75th Anniversary Gala. The issue also includes a Chapel talk by Dean of Faculty Will Speers, an interview with longtime staff member Mary Loessner, and fall events including the Levinson Lecture, the performance of The Laramie Project, and fall sports recaps. Campus environmental efforts are profiled. Andrew Butters ’91 sends a "Letter from Mosul" discussing his experiences in Iraq and Michael Whalen ’84 offers a poem, "Indian Summer." Trustee Steve Pfeiffer P ’95, ’97, ’00, ’04 is profiled and Bulent Atalay ’58 speaks to SAS alumni. Obituaries are of Weston Fenhagen ’41, William Crump, Jr. ’44, Alan Clugston ’51 and Conrad Arensberg ’61.
