This issue of the magazine opens with the Headmaster's Note followed by the Up Front section. Up Front summarizes the following: SAS' performance in this year's mock trial, the jazz sextet Motion Poets performed a special evening concert in the chapel for the students, David Amos '03 earned Eagle Scout honors, and winter term weekends were spent playing "mudbowl."
Cardinal Points highlights the winter athletic season. Wrestling celebrated an 11-1 season with the Matthews brothers, Alex '04 and Chris '02 qualifying for the state tournament; boys' basketball team reached the state tournament for the fifth year in a row; girls' basketball finished third in conference; girls' and boys' squash teams finish with records of 8-2 and 5-4 respectively; girls' and boys' swimming finish first in conference.
A review of the winter musical performance of "West Side
Story" is included along with many photos.
Many pages of the magazine are dedicated to the visual and performing arts at St. Andrew's along with photographs of past performances.
The In Memory section honors former beloved faculty member Hoover Sutton. Included in this tribute are letters from alumni expressing their love and respect for this special man.
In addition to Hoover, the following alumni are included in this section: John Hanahan '41 and Charles Cole '57.
