Tad Roach opens up this issue celebrating the retirement of long time music teacher, choir director, and leader of the jazz band, Larry Walker.
St. Andrew's School was added to the list of schools that nominate candidates to receive the Morehead Award at the University of North Carolina, a comprehensive scholarship given to a student by the Morehead Foundation. SAS is one of only 80 schools outside of North Carolina invited to nominate students for this prestigious award.
Cardinal Points section spotlights the winter teams sports and their individual achievements i.e., swimming, basketball, wrestling and squash.
The Alumni News installment focus is on Gail Wright '84 and her work as Chief of Pediatrics at a Navajo Reservation for three years. Willy Smith '69 writes an open letter to the alumni body.
Magazine editor David Scott writes a feature article titled "Learning from the Land." Dave's in depth piece is an overall history of the land of the School, acquisitions made, how it is used in the school's curriculum, and how it is being preserved.
