This issue of the magazine features swimmer James Jenkins '98 on the cover. James was part of the 100 relay team that won 7th place in the Delaware State Swimming championships. Tad Roach discusses the importance of the staff's work at St. Andrew's and the retirement of housekeeping department foreman, Sam Simmons. Sam was the first African American male that worked on the staff at SAS. Longtime baseball coach Bob Colburn is celebrated for his 300th victory. Upon the renovation of the School's theater, a formal dedication took place in February, naming it the Moira Stevenson Forbes Theater. Ed Strong's '66 remarks are included. Also mentioned in this issue, business manager Elliott McBride retires from St. Andrew's after 15 years. Faculty members leaving at the end of the year: John Lieb, Beth Macnairn, Ian Macnairn, Kate Sharkey, Adam Stegeman and his wife Shannon Stegeman. Mary Battle '98 writes about the Concert Choir's trip to France during spring break. Choir director Marc Cheban discusses his pleasure of having shared the experience with the students. The art gallery winds up the year with a visit from photographer Ossi Becke. Cardinal Points section gives a wrap up of the winter season sports: Girls' and Boys' Basketball teams, Boys' and Girls' Squash, Boys' and Girls' Swimming and Wrestling. Around the Pond piece was written by Science teacher Peter McLean. Peter addresses the many recent, unusual sightings of bald eagles. Alumni News focus is on Alysia Oakley '94 and Kate Sidebottom '96. Several items regarding the Alumni Corporation Board and how it functions. The In Memory section celebrates the lives of Thomas Longcope '37, Frank Stoner '46, Edwin Eley '59 and St. Andrew's longtime maintenance supervisor Ward Wallace. To finish out the magazine are many photos and class notes.
