Magazine editor Carol Stegeman interviews the newest member of the sixth form, Aili Zheng '87, from the People's Republic of China. Donna Kinney interviews art historian Kirk Varnedoe '63 about his life at St. Andrew's and all that he has accomplished in the last 24 years. Steve Arms '87 writes about his winter term away from SAS last year and how he traveled with his parents sailing the ocean. Frank Willliams '70 regales us with his visit to Turkey while on the next page Carey Lea '68 writes of helping his friends build a school in Nicaragua. Football team defeats Wilmington Friends for the first time in 17 years. Gilbert Williams '87 is a semifinalist in the National Achievement Scholarship Program with Alexander Northrup '87 and Peter Salett '87. Fall admissions gatherings are announced as well as 1986 All-State Selections for the fall sports season. Board of Trustees name new members, Caroline duPont, Ed Hammond '60, Paul Hill, Tom Hooper '71, and Rt. Rev. C. Cabell Tennis. Annual Fund results are published as well as many reunion photos. Film maker and entrepreneur, S. Bradley Walker '70 is featured due in part to his photo appearing on the cover of the September issue of Frontier magazine. Steve Amos '74 is featured in the July issue of the Baltimore Sun magazine. The In Memorium portion bids farewell to Morris Eddy '38 and Richard Fiske '41.
