The cover of this magazine shows the cannon being set off as the Saints beat Tatnall in the annual Cannon Game. Chairman of the Classics Department, Evert "Scooby" Van Buchem writes about the study of Latin. John Niles, Director of Admissions, explains to us the whole admissions process. Photos and stories about the O'Briens tour through the south. Arthur Dodge retires from the Board of Trustees while Randy Brinton '64 and Andy Hamlin '71 are newly installed. This fall the School hosted speakers Douglas Kiker and Georgetown Medical School's Estelle Ramey while Yale's Baker's Dozen came to campus to perform. Elizabeth Roach's field hockey team made it to the state tournament and six of the School's fall athletes made all state teams. Faculty news is included as well as a tribute to St. Andrew's first school nurse, Meg Miller who passed away at the age of 87. Bill Amos and his son Steve '74 join together to write a field guide for the Audubon Society. Bonnie McBride is appointed Director of Development while Ashton Richards '78 assumes the role of Development Assistant for the Annual Fund. An abundance of class notes and photos are incorporated throughout the magazine.
