The Joseph L. Hargrove Prize for Spanish given since 1972 by Joe Hargrove, Class of 1967, in memory of his father, who was a "great admirer of SAS." Awarded to the student doing outstanding work in Spanish.
In 2017, the award was renamed The Nancy K. Hargrove Prize for Spanish, in order to honor Joe Hargrove's late wife, who was also a great admirer of the school.
