This issue of The Garth reports on the fourth annual William A. Crump Physics Lecture and the guest speaker, Dr. Maria Spiropulu. Another exciting point of interest is the groundbreaking ceremony for the new arts center which launched the Arts Weekend celebration. Also included is an article on environmentalist Mike Tidwell's visit to SAS and his remarks on global warming. There are several articles in this issue regarding spring sports along with many photos. Also mentioned and photographed are five players from the 2003 girls' lacrosse team who were selected for the mid-Atlantic Under-19 team; they are Sara duPont, Lizzie Burns, Ashley Holbrook, Sarah Walter and Daphne Patterson.
