Notes
History teacher Wilson Everhart talks of how his family's celebration of Thanksgiving has evolved as a result of loss and grief for his brother Michael. The holiday iterations - Campsgiving, Glampsgiving, and most recently Grampsgiving - have all strived to contain elements of the traditional holiday: "a chance to come together; an attempt to acknowledge and address past wrongs; an open and honest recognition of loss and suffering; the creation of new and healthier habits; the opportunity to honor past traditions without glossing over past tragedies; and a moment to focus on the beauty and glory of unity, communion, and family - however you define those words."
