In this Martin Luther King, Jr. Chapel, history teacher Emily Pressman talks of the idea of the American Narrative in the context of a final letter written by Civil Right's leader John Lewis written during the height of 2020's summer Black Lives Matter Movement. In exploring "who we are" as Americans in light of the January 6 riot on the Capital, Emily allows that the continuously pressing call to social justice in America requires all our attention in order for the American story to "one day more truly embody our best ideals."
