Chapel Talk, 2020 February 12 / Jason Kunen

In this Chapel Talk, Religious Studies teacher Jason Kunen describes his coming to understand what it means to "hold the space", "to maintain a space of awareness" that influences people in a positive way. Through his philosophical studies at Haverford under inspiring mentors, Jason describes realizing his passion to teach during his sophomore year as he finds himself fully aware and alert to the moment of leading a class. The "Zenergy" he feels afterwards, he understands "as the feeling of being called to do something - the call to serve. It was at that moment that I realized that I was being called to teach. Sometimes, you don’t find your calling…it finds you."
