Title
Chapel Talk, 2011 February 6 / Tad Roach
Date
February

2011
Notes
The reading for this Sunday Chapel was Matthew 5:13-20.
In this talk, Headmaster Tad Roach says "I have been thinking about the concept of longing" for knowledge, discovery, human rights, equality, justice, as embodied respectively by Carolyn Porco's Crump Lecture, the events of the Egyptian revolution, by the Pave Academy in Brooklyn. "I hope we will long for and work for a world that is peaceful, just and sustainable. This at times may be lonely, difficult, frustrating work. You may be met with indifference, contempt, violence and despair. But miraculous and transformational changes do not occur randomly; they are the product of hard work, determination and resilience."
