Upon arriving at St. Andrew's as a student - and then again as a teacher - English teacher Gretchen Hurtt, class of '90, talks about the fear she felt, and then examines why "perhaps a little fear is be a good thing. It can drive us to meet new challenges; it charges our adrenaline when we attempt something extraordinary. As one of my students wrote, 'fear makes us work hard.'"
