Given shortly after the Christmas Eve 2004 tsunami in Southeast Asia, this talk reflects on the concerns and acts of kindness displayed after any catastrophe, and then the inevitable moving on toward our own affairs and living our everyday lives. A portion of W.H. Auden's poem, "For the Time Being" is quoted, as is Robert Frost's poem, "Out, Out --".
