Notes
In this talk, Headmaster Tad Roach outlines the criteria for "a community of hope, of goodness" as opposed to one that settles "for lower standards, expectations, diminished codes of conduct." The School is challenged to be a great community.
"The truth is that it is easier to be part of a community of mediocrity than it is to be part of a community that seeks, if not embodies, excellence. We therefore must be intentional, vigilant, careful in our commitment to becoming and being a community of excellence. It is counter-cultural; it is hard work; it takes discipline, courage, daily attention and commitment. But the effort is worth it, for the rewards for both the individual and the community are so great."
