Headmaster Tad Roach speaks of a discussion held with Emory College President Bill Chace, in which Mr. Chace explores the primary problem facing college students: "...[they] struggle to demonstrate resilience, courage and stamina...In his view students do not know how to deal with frustration, with failure, with adversity." Outlined in this talk is a path for students to becoming stronger, "more resilient, better equipped to fight the authentic struggles of life"
