In this talk Headmaster Tad Roach reflects on the nature of doing the work of a teacher at St. Andrew's; discusses St. Andrew's student culture; and how the two are related in creating the values and qualities of the School. Student response to the mission statement of the School is discussed: "If at St. Andrew’s we need to remember one thing, it is to be kind." In relaying one of his own parenting-failure moments, Tad reflects on practicing "unanxious expectation".
