Notes
In relaying a story of meeting a prisoner during a church youth group gathering, Religious Studies teacher Wes Goldsberry discusses ideas of justice and retribution, being deserving, being forgiving. He concludes that through St. Andrew we are taught humility, and hence forgiveness: "Humility means giving even your enemies the benefit of the doubt, that they, too, are always doing their best. And if we see our neighbors through this lens, we might just fall backwards into a spirit of unconditional love."

Old Testament Lesson: Amos 3:12-15
Gospel Lesson: Luke 23:20-24, 32-34a
