Chapel Talk, 2005 January 5: Pause and Enjoy Rasa / Esther Hsiao

In explaining rasa, Chinese teacher Esther Hsiao describes what she does during Wednesday long lunch - cooking and eating alone - as the simplest way for her to experience contemplative awareness. Esther illustrates a moment of appreciative focus (rasa) through a description of her son Jiadi's absorption with a feather.
